We are thrilled to share the exciting news of the promotions of Jeff Lax and Phillip Dobbins to the newly created Senior General Manager positions at PSI. In these expanded leadership roles, both Jeff and Phillip will be key contributors on our newly formed Operations Leadership Team (OLT) alongside our COO, Robert Mele.
As PSI continues to grow, these promotions reflect the exceptional leadership, construction expertise, and impact Jeff and Phillip have demonstrated. Their ability to expand their divisions while supporting PSI’s ongoing growth and our OnePSI vision of collaboration and shared expertise makes them ideal for these roles.
In their expanded positions, Jeff and Phillip will focus on strengthening client relationships, mentoring trade leaders and high-potential employees, evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities, and driving operational excellence throughout PSI.

About Jeff Lax: Jeff, General Manager of the Electrical Division, brings 38 years of construction experience, with 22 years in the field and 16 in management. Licensed in 26 states, Jeff specializes in large-scale commercial and industrial projects, including high-rises, distribution centers, retail, medical, renovation, and manufacturing. Recently, he led the expansion of PSI’s Electrical Division into the Texas market, further strengthening our capabilities in a critical growth region.
About Phillip Dobbins: Phillip, General Manager of Plumbing, Mechanical, Fire Sprinkler, and Concrete Divisions, brings over 26 years of experience and holds 17 state Plumbing Master licenses. Under his leadership, the Plumbing Division has achieved considerable growth, expanding its capabilities and market presence. His expertise has been instrumental in driving the strategic growth and geographic reach of fire sprinkler and concrete services across the Southeast. Looking ahead, Phillip will support operational growth in Drywall, Flooring, and Concrete specialties in South Carolina and surrounding market areas in 2025 and beyond.
